Here are a few of my favorite videos, showing what can happen when you combine a highly skilled artist and a wacom tablet. Some of these are unbelievable.
1.) This is a photo realistic example that blows my mind. It's almost too good to be real. The description says this drawing was completely freehand. I wonder if there's not a little cloning going on here. The hair is just too perfect. I've never see hair highlights and flesh-tones this real.
2.) Here is a drawing of Megan Fox. It is not as photo realistic as the first, making it much more believable. The lighting is great in this work.
3.) Here is a drawing of Christina Aguilera that actually helped me decide to buy my own Wacom Intuos 3. There are a few more videos I watched during that time period that made me crave a Wacom.
4.) I originally bought an off-brand graphics tablet, refurbished, because it was a lower price and I wanted to "try out" a drawing tablet. I should have watched these videos sooner, and I should have known that cheaping out wasn't the best idea. The off-brand tablet was unusable. Here is another video that led to my purchase of a Wacom.
I hope you enjoyed these videos. If you are thinking about purchasing a graphics tablet, DO NOT cheap out. Buy a quality Wacom graphics tablet. They are the only tablet to have. Also, I've never tried one of the low-end Wacoms, but even if you are just beginning, grab an Intuos3 or Intuos4. You won't be disappointed.
Whether you want a small, medium, or large drawing surface, there is a Wacom in your price range, anyway.
